The following Team of people have been there day in and day out to help me tell this wonderful story of inspiration. Each person has showed up at just the right time to help in just the way the project needed them to. Many have showed up as a gift, others at a greatly reduced rate and some have brought whatever resource that was needed. They have all given their attention and intention towards this celebration of the Restoration of our food supply. While at times, making Here We Grow has stretched me to my human limits, these wonderful team members have kept me going!!! No matter where you are its is "HERE", it is time to think more about "WE", than just "ME" and no matter in which direction we are all "GROWING". HERE WE GROW.....

Amie is the executive director of the NY Coalition for Healthy School Lunches and has given us a very inspiring interview of her success in NY State for providing healthy meals in-school. The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF) is a statewide nonprofit that works to improve the health and well-being of New York's students by advocating for healthy plant-based foods, including local and organic where possible, farm to school programs, the elimination of unhealthy competitive foods in all areas of the school (not just the cafeteria), comprehensive nutrition policy, and education to create food- and health-literate students. We also have great interviews with the executive Chef in charge of 864,000 meals a day and some of his young up and coming "healthy" chefs in training. |

As both a mom who worked outside the home and as a child nutrition advocate, Theresa Kiene understood the challenge of preparing fresh, nutritious and organic meals for her growing babies. Unfortunately, the only baby food she could find was jarred - often with a shelf life older than the babies eating it. So one day she decided to give her favorite childhood recipes a "nutritional makeover" - and created yummy, 100 % organic foods that her children loved. Soon, friends and family began requesting batches of her food for their own children. Theresa felt so fulfilled creating nutritious, organic baby foods that she left a successful career as a television executive to start HOMEMADE BABY®. More |

It was Pangea founder and CEO Joshua Onysko’s personal devotion and commitment to inspiring social sustainability that sparked the inception of Pangea Organics eight years ago. He devised the selling of the highest quality organic, personal care products as a means to an even greater end. After seven years of traveling to the likes of India, Nepal, and Tibet, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Thailand, Onysko had an epiphany: He realized that corporations were inheriting the earth and that by leading by example there was potential to influence others to reconsider their ways. He shared with his friend Tom that he dreamed of starting an Institute to aid existing corporations in learning to become more socially responsible and environmentally sound.. More |
